God: Creator, Judge, Redeemer

What’s at stake in the ongoing battle for the beginning? Worship. Period.
From cover to cover, the Bible asserts and affirms the Genesis account to exalt God for who He really is—the Creator. We should reflect that pattern too. In fact, that’s not an option. As Sovereign Creator, God demands to be worshiped.
So if God is Creator, that means He exercises authority over all His subjects, particularly human beings made in His image. That’s a truth that has been the confidence of God’s people throughout the ages. On the other hand, those who want to preserve their sense of personal autonomy hate the Creator’s authority. They believe it’s in their best interest to do away with the doctrine of creation.
God not only created the world, He presides over that world as sovereign ruler. Those who ignore or disobey His rule will face Him one day, not only as Creator, but also as Judge. John MacArthur explains . . .

Amen and halleluiah. If this were a recipe, what would be wrong to follow it all the way without taking anything out or twisting- because someone may not like it? I prefer to be called narrow minded because of believing the Word of God word-by-word as it is on the Bible, particularly the first three chapters, than come up with things created by man (science) such as Evolution. Cannot, must not come up with speculations about the creation account, one day equals so close to what we know today as 24 hour day (day and night). No room for trillions, billions, or millions of years. It is just not there. I am so glad that the Lord Jesus when he incarnated and walked on this earth, he chose 11 nobodies (sort of speak), and the Holy Spirit filled them with knowledge.

"What’s at stake in the ongoing battle for the beginning?"
Some men, since the fall, chose to believe lies (right from, or indirectly from satan). One of them, that God could not be trusted, another, that he (man) could rely on other "gods" to help him; another, that it was up to him to figure out how creation works; and many other lies until we ended up with naturalistic evolution and all the atrocities that come with it.
God, in His infinite wisdom, knowing full well Adam would fall, had already prepared a plan to bring those he chose since the foundation of the world back to Himself. He gave us His word; inerrant, and in a way we could understand it if we read it with open hearts and with the help of the Holy Spirit.
The battle lines are drawn; Eph 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Let us not forget that very important fact. God knows who will be saved. Let us do all we can to show the world it's errors.

Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His
mighty firmament! Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise His according
to His excellent greatness! Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet;
Praise Him with lute and harp! Praise Him with the timbrel and dance;
Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! Praise Him with loud
cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals! Let everything with breath
praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!
I love this verse and it confirms that God is truly our Creator. Amen.

Jorge, well said. Basic lies told that contradict the words of God in the garden: "you will not surely die", but you will transition to another form, a spiritual form, either to enjoy the bliss of eternal life in the presence of God, or the pain of eternal life in misery. The other one is that it matters not that God "blessed the seventh day and hallowed it", man (the church fathers) can dispense with that special designation and bless and sanctify the first day instead.

God holds everything in the palm of his hand. We must tremble in His
Hands, not scare, no!, In humble way, fear Him that He is all powerful,
holy, and goodness. Being in awe of Him.
Awesome is God, most high. Worship His majesty! Amen!!
