UPDATE: Our friends at Ligonier have made several upgrades to RefNet, where you can hear John MacArthur and other trusted Bible teachers every day. The network is also available through new apps for Android devices and the Kindle Fire.

We’re pleased to announce a new avenue for you to benefit from John MacArthur’s Bible teaching. It’s a web-based Bible teaching network called RefNet, and it was created and developed by our friends at Ligonier Ministries.

RefNet (short for Reformation Network) is a 24-hour hub for a variety of gifted Bible teachers including R.C. Sproul, Albert Mohler, Steve Lawson, John MacArthur, and others, along with Scripture reading and music. Any time of day, you’re able to tune in on your computer, iPhone, iPad, or other mobile device and listen to rich, life-transforming truth from God’s Word.

Our “Grace to You” broadcasts air daily on RefNet, as well as John’s messages from Ligonier conferences, giving you multiple opportunities to hear John alongside other excellent Bible teachers every day. You can find more information about RefNet here.

We’re encouraged by this new outlet for quality Bible teaching, and we know it will be a spiritual benefit to you.

This is exciting! Like a radio station w/o the damning pragmatism and worthless opinions. Just the sincere milk of the Word. Like being able to go to a restaurant and order a meal, rather than digging around in the trash out back trying to find something edible. God bless you guys! May His Word penetrate every nook and cranny of this decrepit world system.

Hi there

I have tried to use your "click here" for free app for both this and John MacArthur study bible but it keeps saying try again and then boots me out. Is this available in Canada too?

Sadly, told me I needed to update my browser. Closed my IE8 and opened Firefox. Still won't play. :( Bummer.

Great, wonderful, massively good resource. Now all we need is a ROKU app and we'll be set.

Angela,

It's hard to diagnose the problem from this end, but the apps should be available to you in Canada. The links we posted automatically direct back to the US app store, so it might be worth searching for them in iTunes. I hope that helps.

I simply went directly to the iTunes store and it downloaded fine on both the iPad and my iPhone

Oops forgot to say that I was in Canada

Thus great news! But what about for android platform users, is there an app?

I absolutely love it! I can listen to the best of the best anytime I want. For android users, just use your browser to save the link and listen. I listen on my way to work and have it playing at my desk.

What does it mean, it offers a "lite" version for other mobile devises? I do not have an "i" anything. I have a Pantech Pocket. Is there an app for that?

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ for "our friends" at Ligonier Ministries, and Grace to You for making RefNet available. God has not left us orphaned or famished in this wildnerness pilgramage in which we find ourselves so often.

Rebecca,

The "lite" version is a simplified version of their website intended to be compatible with a variety of mobile devices. Try accessing the website with the web browser on your device and hopefully it should stream just like it would through the app.

OK, so if I understand correctly (I never download apps for security reasons on anything, so forgive my ignorance), if I had an iPhone or iPad, i could get the app and not have to sign onto the Net each time? But with any other kind of mobile, I will need to access the info by way of the Net? I'm asking because I really wanted the convenience of my cell phone but I don't have unlimited Internet.

Thanks for the help.

I praise God through my faith in Christ Jesus for this site. I have been listening all day while I do my chores. This is a bright spot for me in such a dark world. How encouraging to know there are those willing to teach the word in truth through love.

This is a great resource for Christians to keep in solid teaching and preaching throughout the day. Thank you for being a part of and providing us this resource!

Is the app web-dependent or can I listen when I don't have internet access?

Thank you so much for letting us know about this. And I am particular thankful it is available on Kindle Fire. So many apps are available only for the I-pad, I-phone, I this or that. I can't wait to start listening.
