A Pastoral Response to the Newtown Massacre
Prior to his sermon this past Sunday morning, John MacArthur made some comments about the school shooting in Connecticut last Friday. His words helped put the tragedy into spiritual context for us in the congregation, and we know they’ll be an encouragement to you as well.

Very well put. As sad as the evil act that cut short those young lives, the sadder truth is that millions have been murdered and more will continue to be by abortion. This clearly shows the decay of society.

Amen! Thank you Pastor MacArthur for commenting on this tradegy and for your comments on the unborn. I was so thankful on Friday, when I tuned in Brannon Howse of Worldveiw Weekend, shortly after hearing the horrible news...Brannon was saying what you were saying on Sunday, his words gave great comfort at that time. Thankful that we have a few God fearing men in the country who are not afraid to stand for the Truth of Scripture. God's Word can and will comfort if we will just take the time to read it and know it.

Thank you for telling the truth. There is so little of it in the world. It is my anchor in the midst of chaos.

I would urge all of you to dowload and listen to Pastor's sermon "Why Does Evil Dominate the World" if you havn't already. We tend to forget His Soverign rule over all creation and the sermon reminds us and equips us with answers we may find ourselves grasping for when asked by those suffering at the hands of the evil of others-Why?

Thank you Pastor John for that 5 minute acknowledgment of the massacre in Newtown, and then back to business as usual. Thank you for not allowing the world dictate your sermons. Also, my prayers were answered in regards to having someone there to aid the parents of the children who's lives were snatched away. What a blessing to know that there is some true biblical comfort for those parents. I pray that everyone one of those parents becomes a believer in response to this unthinkable tragedy in their lives. This would truly echo the words of God by the pen of Paul to the Romans, Romans 5:20 (b) ~ But where sin abounds, GRACE abounds more. Blessings to you!!!

After listening to the clip I feel so comforted knowing that the children are with Jesus now.
