Paul commands Timothy to avoid those who are lovers of money (cf. 2 Timothy 3:1-9). And yet the prosperity preachers are not only tolerated within evangelicalism, they are given a platform and sometimes even commended. The leaders of this movement are slaves of mammon, not Christ. So, how do you explain evangelicalism’s reluctance to shun Prosperity/Word of Faith teachers?
