For many of us, summer is one of the most anticipated seasons of the year. Long-planned vacations, days at the park or beach, outdoor activities, and making use of the long days are just some of the things we look forward to. And while there's nothing inherently wrong with that-all good things were made for us to enjoy-there is a temptation. That temptation is to focus on the things of this life, and forget about the glories of what is to come.
To help you focus on that amazing future this month, "Grace to You" will air the series The Rapture and the Day of the Lord. That study is just one of a number of encouraging resources by John MacArthur on what's ahead for the world. If you're a believer, the future is thrilling and ought to be anticipated with great expectation. To dive into end-times prophecy even further, here are additional helpful resources:
Jesus Is Coming! (audio series)
Where in the World Is History Headed? (audio series)
The Second Coming (book)
Because the Time Is Near (book)
Does faith in Christ for salvation require repentance from sin? Should believers expect to experience victory over sin in their lives? How concerned should a Christian be about a habitual sin?
Those important questions are clearly answered in the pages of Scripture, yet the church still misses or misapplies the answers-leaving people confused, or worse, misled. Join us on the blog as we walk through passages in 1 John and Philippians to discover important truths about sanctification.
