Luke 19:10 tells us that “the Son of Man has come to seek and save that which was lost.” And throughout the four gospels, we repeatedly see confirmation of the extraordinary compassion Christ had for the unsaved.
But today, we who are followers of Christ find it too easy to shy away from the lost. Perhaps it’s because we’re concerned that somehow we will be contaminated by their sinful influence. Or we’re afraid that they might reject us if they know we are Christians.
How can we approach the lost with the same compassion—and confidence—that Christ had?
John MacArthur’s series entitled Making Disciples covers a variety of Scripture passages showing how to approach the lost and explain how they can receive eternal life. Learn from Christ’s example how to effectively communicate the good news!
