The Body of Christ is one of the most powerful, beautiful descriptions given in Scripture for what the church is and how it functions. God’s people are united under Christ the head, each believer playing a distinct role but working in harmony.
Just as a hand or a foot cannot function on its own, believers can’t fulfill their spiritual role in the Body of Christ in isolation. True fellowship—something much deeper than what comes to most people’s minds—unites believers under a singular plan and purpose of the Lord. It has encouraging, uplifting qualities that knit the hearts of God’s people together, allowing them to bear each other’s burdens and build each other up to greater godliness.
Hand in hand with fellowship is the ongoing practice of forgiveness--a vital component of true fellowship and the starting point for every healthy relationship.
In his new, two-part series, Fellowship, Forgiveness, and You, John MacArthur will show you what God’s Word says about the importance of productive, uplifting relationships between believers, and how to protect that unity from corruption and abuse.
