For those of us who live in other parts of the country and the world for that matter, that follow your teaching to grow in God's Word, have been afforded another blessing with this blog tool. You don't have enough server space for me to tell you how thankful I am for all you give us.

My spiritual growth and the way my ministry teaches through knowledge gained here is proof of answered prayer. With false teachings growing daily in this dark world, true knowledge for the true believer is hard to find so I pray that many more will find this ministry in our troubled times.

Thank you and God bless.

Dr. MacArthur…you cannot imagine how grateful my husband and I are for your ministry. We can only connect to your sermons through the internet and this has been such a blessing to us. We had to leave our church of a lifetime (59 years for husband and 44 years for me at this church as members) and have not been able to find a local church based on truth after searching for nearly four years now…there just aren’t any. We listen to your radio broadcasts daily and also to your tremendous vault of sermons and continue to grow in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior through your teachings. Now you have given your internet flock this blog and I am so excited about it. I am of the opinion that it is so important to keep up with the times…to be able to discern false teachers. My heart breaks at the thought of the people sitting under these false teachers and swallowing up every word that comes from their mouths. So many people shrug their responsibility in proclaiming truth! So, to see you putting this blog on GTY and giving a warning about these false teachers is a wonderful thing. May you continue in His word and may you be blessed for it. My husband and I, here in north Mississippi, will continue to listen to the helps you make available.

Thank you Dr. MacArthur and the other people that make this ministry available to the masses.

Because of your doctrinal teaching I have grown, I came to the truth about 4 years ago, and pretty early

on heard about you, I thank God for you, because you are a gift to the church.

I left my former church but not before talking to Pasters and thought I might be a smoke to there eyes.

My wife and kids where not happy with me to say the least. But now we are in a reformed church

and it's better. But I learn here and I then get to share there too. I took advice you gave when you

said you reseach commentery of 10 other people . I also make sure to to the same maybe not 10

but 3-5. Thank you again.

Thank YOU Dr. MacArthur. While we will probably never meet, your blog/website is the closet thing to having you teach us directly since most of us live so far away (I'm in Texas). Again, thank you for all you do.

I must be getting too much information from you Pastor MacArthur. I have had your NKJV study bible since Christmas and I must tell you I can't believe I have gone this long without it. My old (free) NIV, that is falling apart is what precipitated me needing a new one in the first place. I have immediately gone into a new and deeper quest for understanding the things of God, learning some new words along the way, like "exegesis" "hermeneutics", and others, and have learned how they apply in obtaining new discoveries from God's word! The other reason I say I'm getting too much (of you) is, last night you and I were having a conversation in my dreams...Wow, I was taking with John MacArthur, face-to-face, if only in my dreams. Well, I think it demonstrates how deep I have poured myself into the word of God, way into the much deeper and profound things, and I needed much of your instruction to descend into those depths. Thank you in the Lord once again! Bret

Dear Dr. MacArthur Thank you for standing often alone for the truth of the gospel. It is very clear to us that you truly love our Lord Jesus Christ and His Word. Believe me you were used of God to revive my house. We haven't had a church for a long time and when we did it was so full of error they had unsaved people in the place of leadership! The cost of doctrinal error and humanistic worldly teachings in the church has been very costly and astronomical for us. Whenever I started to listen to you back then others in the (pentecostal/charismatic mostly) church would discourage me from listening to you but I couldn't stay away. Thanks be to God for you and grace to you for being a faithful , pure voice in this wilderness of our day, I was so drawn by The Spirit to listen. You are a mighty instrument in the hands of our God. We think you are the very best of all preachers and teachers. The Doctrines of Grace I loathed until you preached the series on them and I heard them in 2007 via internet. They changed my life almost as radically as being born again. I love the study on Revelation as well as Luke. You do the hard Scriptures and doctrines of God's Word justice. I only wish there were more like you. Amazing site too its like a university and church on here. Such a joy to have access to all these wonderful materials. After years of indifference to the things of God my son is reading through his MacArthur Study Bible this year and requesting your materials for his birthday this month. Thank you so very much and God bless you greatly for being our pastor and teacher. God's Word taught through you have had a tremendous and wonderful effect on our lives and so many for His glory. We hope to send you a gift soon and we pray daily for you and grace to you. Soli Deo Gloria! Agape, Ann Dalon

I too would like to thank God for you personally John, and for Grace to You ministries. I find it difficult indeed to express how your ministry has helped me in my spiritual growth. There was a day when I found myself questioning almost everything I believed. It was a monumental struggle in my life that was affecting not only me but, also everyone who knew me. In the middle of this battle, God, through a series of event that could only best described as -God moving in my behalf -I was placed - with all my questions in hand- face to face with Grace to You. The first day I heard your voice was when I was awakened from sleep at 4:30 in the morning as you taught form your lesson entitled- Hard to Believe. Although at the time the teaching confronted beliefs, I knew it was the truth. I soon seen that I didn't just need to change the way I believed- I needed to rebuild my entire belief structure because I had no foundation beneath the one I had. Although difficult because of the grip that pride had on me, it was necessary.

I've grown a lot in the last 5 or 6 years. Not because I say so, but because God's Word says so. Many times when you teach, you say things like-"..These should be seen in the lives of the believer." I can look at myself in the refection of God's Word and see just that. This gives me assurance and hope as I see a little less Ed in me and a little more of God.

I could go on, and if you've read any of my long-winded responses on this blog you'll attest to that. But, your thankfulness toward all of us for our participation on the blog cannot be compared to the gratitude that I, in particular, and many others here, have to God for your faithfulness to God's Word. God's Spirit in us provides our ability to handle the Truth , and your conviction to the Truth makes your ministry worthy to be trusted. It is only the Truth that sets us free!!!

Thanks again- Ed Rudd

Pastor MacArthur, like many of others here I'd like to express how thankfull I am for your ministry, for being faithful to our Lord's calling in your life and for your total dependency on Him.

It was not long ago that I heard you on the radio for the first time, first week of August 2009. I got a ride from my brother-in-law and you were preaching on suffering and the reason for our suffering (it was the sermon where you talk about your son's Mark tumor). That very week I was going through some very difficult times in my marriage. I came home and started listening to your series on 1 Corinthians, I had been a "Christian" for 16 years and had never heard the Bible explained like that! Through that week my life was changed, not by your words, but by His words that you taught so faithfully! (I firmly believe I had never been a real believer before that week).

Since then I listen to your sermons everyday and everywhere I go, I download them into my phone and bought earphones so I can listen in the car, doing groceries, literally everywhere. Just to give you an idea: I was listening to someone else the other day (one of the Master's College Pastors) and Ethan (my 7-yo) comes home and asks who that was. I told him and changed to one of your messages, and Ethan says "ah, that feels normal now". =)

Thank you! I now know where I stand, I now know that I have a purpose, I now understand my position as a woman, as a wife, as a mother, and most important of all, as a believer. Really, no words can express how much it means to me!

May God continue blessing your life, your family and your ministry!

Elaine

Dr. MacArthur, Thank you for not watering down the gospel!!!! There are very few pastors left that are speaking solid Truth!Your sermons and books have given me the tools I need to address false teaching as I evangelize and disciple people. I have been very disturbed by what I am seeing in the churches today, and your teaching confirmed that I have been doing the right thing by speaking up and not tolerating any deviation from the Bible. The so-called church is our biggest mission field!

Dear Pastor John,

Grace and Peace to you! I thank our Heavenly Father daily for your faithful service to His flock. Words simply cannot express the depth of gratitude I have for your ministry and that of everyone at Grace to You. It has been such a blessing and so very helpful to come here and be fed the Word of God. Just think, the Lord was planning this over 40 years ago when that very first sermon you preached at Grace Community Church was recorded! The millions of sermons that have been downloaded are testimony to the needs of the Church and an answer to the prayers of God's people who are not being fed the Word at their local assemblies. I doubt we can really comprehend this side of Heaven, just how far-reaching and effective your ministry has been- to the glory of God! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Love in Christ,

Angie Burnham

When I first got saved the LORD blessed me so much and You have been a part of that blessing from 1982 to this day 28 years later. GTY was on the local radio station every morning at 8:00am for my daily commute. What a wonderful example, foundation and love for the Word of God you provided and it continues! I had just started reading a bible and hadn't even stepped in a church yet and you made God's Word come alive and exciting. Six months later I went to church needing to be baptised as I had read the bible cover to cover twice in six months. Again, you made it so alive I couldn't put the bible down. From the cassette days to now I spend at least an hour a day studying, listening and reading your sermons on www.gty.org. Keep my rear end in the seat at the desk (believe I heard you mention that a time or two for young students asking you how you do it). 28 yr old duct taped Nelson's NAS Topical Study Chain, my original edition MacArthur Study Bible (it's duct taped too) and spirial notebook out for taking notes bring up gty.org and search the topic for your sermon or passage. As if being able to listen and read it at the same time isn't enough thanks for the feature that we can pause; click back a minute or two and listen again while taking notes (most online teaching series you have to go all the way back to the beginning and start over so that's a great feature).

What beautiful feet you must have.

I believe I stand with millions of saints when I say thank YOU John MacArthur. Your ministry has been such a blessing to me. In a time when the voice of the false teachers seems to be so loud and everywhere, here you come with your fearless proclamation of the gospel. I say "go get 'em". You have helped to equip me to confront the false teaching as well. I pray you would continue to be bold in your preaching. I have never heard anything like it. I know the great reformation had their men of faith who led God's people through falsehood and into truth. I believe God has chosen you to be like those men but for this day and time. I pray your ministry would reach millions more until the coming of our Lord. I look forward to meeting you someday (probably in heaven but hopefully sooner) so I can thank you face to face. Keep it up, the saints are hungrier than ever. God bless

Thank Pastor MacArthur for being diligent in your study of the Word of God. I cannot begin to tell you of all that I have learned and continue to learn from your teaching. Not only has your teaching been a blessing, but also how you live your life every day. Your deep love for our Lord is evident and encouraging.

Thank YOU pastor MacArthur and your ministry. I wish I could personally shake your hand for all that you have done for the saints that truly seek, hunger and thirst for Gods word. Your ministry has been intrumental in my spiritual growth in learning how to rightly divide the Word. I am now free to grow in Grace and knowledge in the Word of God which was once a constant battle of confusion to me. I have only been a Christian for 2 1/2 years. I was so hungry for the Word and let me tell you, I gobbled up everything! I slowly realized that what I was listening to and what I was reading was not making sense. I was surrounded with mystical, spirtualized teaching so much that I stopped reading my Bible for 2 months and even doubted my salvation. Nevertheless, I pressed on by the fact of what I believed and that there was no doubt in my mind I had become a new creation. If God is not a God of confusion then their should be no reason why I should not be able to read and understand what He wants to communicate to me. I stumbled across your name searching the internet for additional resources and was captured by your expositional style of teaching. I have never heard that before. So here I am thanking you about 8 months later. I thank you for your instruction on proper Biblical interpretation and your insight on the Scriptures. I can now gobble up sound doctrine. Since then My growth has been increasing, my walk has become more intimate, my discernment is sharper, my evangelism is more powerful and my leadership in the household has been more loving because my thinking has been more clear. So again, thank YOU Pastor for all your hard work you put in for the Lord! May God continue to bless your ministry.

Dear Pastor John

I was first introduced to gty by some brothers (we are a church in Singapore) who attended the Master's seminary. I thank God that there are still people like you who are true to God's teaching as written in the Bible. Some twenty years ago when I was in UCLA I chanced upon some TV programmes featuring tele-evangelists who sounded more like charlatans than peachers. When the charismatic movement hit our part of the world, I thought that we too have gone nuts. Most "Christians" are blind and dead, led astray by wicked people pretending to be peachers.

You are one of the rare voices in the wilderness. May the Lord bless you and your staff richly.

#20  Posted by Marie Lambert  |  Monday, February 08, 2010at 9:23 AM

When I first became a Christian I was so confused with the many teachings out there and found myself without knowing what that was in a Charismatic church. As I listened to the teachings and saw the stuff that goes on at that church I was even more confused because they were not according to the word of God. I remember one day praying asking the Lord to teach me His Truth. The next day listening on the radio I caught the last part of an interview that you did Pastor McArthur where you spoke on how you are committed to teaching the Truth of the Word of God. I immediately wrote down your information and came to your website. I have been listing to your teachings since and have learned so much. You're teaching ministry is a blessing to me.

Many in the charismatic church advised me not to listen to you because you are a false teacher but I thank God that He gave me discernment to see the truth. Thank you so much for what you do and for your commitment to the Truth of God. Many blessings to you and your family.

P.S-I couldn't believe all the free teachings that you made available to people. In the charismatic arena they charge so much money for their false teachings. I thank God for you Pastor MacArthur.

So glad that God raised up another faithful proclaimer of His Truth-You! All praise be to Him every time I hear the Yes and Amen truth being taught from your tongue and pen! May preachers and teachers like you increase to proclaim the Light of the World-our precious Lord Jesus Christ and may unbelievers be increasingly uncomfortable in their churches until they repent and be saved!

Bill Zeigler said: "What beautiful feet you must have."

Romans 10:15, Isaiah 52:7

I agree, although I wonder if Pastor MacArthur's wife would agree while giving him a foot massage after a long day of preaching? Ha!

All joking aside, thank you pastor MacArthur for your preaching. It has transformed our lives. My wife and I came out of Charisma due in great part to your teaching.

It was interesting how it came about. Neither of us knew that the other had come to the conclusion that we were in a system of false teaching. We both were keeping it to ourselves for fear of causing division in our marriage. One day we read, together, one of your online teachings, (I think it was a long excerpt from "Charismatic Chaos") and each of us confessed what we had been thinking for quite some time now. It seems that both of us were maintaining the same charade without the other's knowledge.

What a blessing to be walking in the Truth together, in harmony. We still read your teachings together for hours on end, and at the end of nearly every sermon, one of us will blurt out uncontrollably, something like, "That's the best sermon I've ever heard!" or “Man, you just don't hear preaching like that anywhere!” This is years later, mind you, from the first time we read your teaching together.

Thank you, Pastor MacArthur, for all that you do.

Dr. MacArthur - thank you so much for making so many resources available. You have impacted my life and my walk in so many wonderful ways, and I am so grateful. I recently had knee surgery, and downloaded your detailed study (50 hours or so of audio) on Philippians to go through during my "down time". What a blessing that has been! I can't tell you how much that has helped me keep a positive and God centered focus during a challenging time.

And most of all, thank you for your loyal service to God. Thank you for having the courage and dedication to stay truthful to God's word in your teaching.

May God hold you ever closer.

Dear Dr. MacArthur,

I want also to thank you for your wonderful ministries available all over the world that helped Christians like me who want to learn the Word of God. I was a Christian for about 22years before one of my friend who is a pastor shared to me some of your old CDs (2001 & 2004) about 1 year ago when I visited him which made a tremedous impact im my Christian life which changed how I view Christianity. It is only there that I understood clearly the gospel and its relationship on how we live. So I started to buy some of your books that helped me a lot to grow spiritually and to live a God glorifying life. Now I was influenced by your passion to know and to defend the truth in the Bible and share it with my family and brethren in the church.

Words can not express how to thank God for using you, your staffs and your ministries for being a blessing to a truth searching soul like me in this world of confusion.

To God be the glory!!!

Dr. MacArthur,

You may never know just how much Grace To You has meant to me and my spiritual growth. I was a Christian for awhile, but I was only stumbling and bumbling along like a ship without a rudder. That is until God brought you into my life. I can still remember how captivated I was by your preaching the first time I heard you. When I look back on that I realize now what God was doing in my life. He was ensuring that I would not get caught in the trap of shallow, me centered, Gospel presentations that never bring one face to face with God and His holiness. Listening to you every day has given me an unbelievable love of Scripture and has opened doors to other authors who like yourself, believe that expositing God's word is the only thing that truly matters. I have had the opportunity to hear you speak in my hometown of Victoria BC and attending Grace Community Church (where I heard Phil Johnson speak), and will cherish those memories always. I have never experienced the presence of the Holy Spirit like I have when I was at Grace Community Church this past September. By God's grace and will I will have the opportunity to attend the Master's College this coming fall. Thank you once again and may God bless you, your family and everyone who works so hard in the service of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ at Grace to You.

Dean :)

Dr MacArthur, truly thank God for your obedience and faithfulness to His Word. I have been listening to your ministry for about about two years. When I first heard it, it blew my mind. I had went on a goal for fasting for the year with totally reading God's Word every minute. I happen to come upon your ministry WWiP in Va. When i heard your teaching, I said, he sounds like me, but seeing you are older than me i sounded like you in my expository reading and teaching. I did not now what that was in me until you. All your teaching on election, Grace and the Sovereignty of God i knew was true, but we i taught it shared it, others did not understand it. But, I knew what was in me was true no matter what. I am on the raod to writing a book on the Soverign Control of God in the World, showing God's Awesome power and Glory in His Sovereign Control. Again, thank to for standing, and standing in obedience as Samuel did, that all the Words of Our God shall not fail, and that Israel promises our going to to be fulfilled as well as his promises to the Elect. Blessing to to you and your family, staff and all that you do for the kingdom of God. Are you every coming to VA, Hamptonroads area?

Hello Pastor John, my background was catholic alittle of pentecostal alittle of native american religion and whole lot of wordly sense...........I was so confused....I sit in a wheelchair now at home and listen to Christian radio 940am kgms and on the net and am able to search for the truth. I read my Bible every day and what a privilege to sit at God's feet to learn about Him and His ways. I have read very few books that have been authored by Christians because it would take me away from reading the Bible.....I just wanted to say how thankful I am to be allowed to hear and learn about Jesus. I am married 27 years with a 6 yr old daughter 15 yr old son and 30 yr old son who still don't want to know Jesus. You point the way back to God when I am weary, you have made my crooked paths straight....Thank you Pastor John .........

Dr. MacArthur, I thank God for you and your ministry, what a difference it has made to me, for almost two years now. I first heard your name several times from some new families at our church (a church recommended by the Grace to You ministry to people in this area). Then, after being disturbed when I learned of the local pastor's liberal Hugh Ross creation views, and I saw your name on the Answers in Genesis website, I printed off and read through your Genesis series transcripts, and was very impressed -- I had never read or heard any Bible teaching this good or in-depth. I soon started reading and listening to many other sermons on the GTY site, and God used this to re-awaken a spiritual hunger in me, for real, solid Bible teaching. I have since learned so much more, especially about what God's word has to say concerning premillennialism and the future electing salvation of Israel, and also about practical Christian living, and I thank you for that lifeline of true, in-depth Bible teaching. There just aren't any good churches in this area, but your ministry reaches out to those of us who live far away from you. Thank you Pastor John.

While I was a music student at CSUN, my roomate and I (who grew up in the same church I did) attended your church. The first Sunday we were there, our jaws dropped... I thought, "This is what church should be like all the time." It was your first sermon in the book of Ephesians. The Bible came alive for me at that point. I couldn't get enough. We were there Sunday night, Wednesday night, morning Bible studies; we dragged our friends there.

Then I married a Navy man and we took your tapes with us, and continued our study wherever we went; sadly, because we could not find another church who taught the Word of God. We were involved in churches, because we did not want to forsake the fellowship of believers. I found myself saying, "I cannot expect to find a John MacArthur everywhere we go." In Annapolis, we were fortunate enough to glean from the teaching of James Boice at a retreat, but again the good teachers have been few and far between.

We have seen the encroachment of elements of the Charismatic movement in the Southern Baptist churches we have attended.... the focus on feelings, and emotions, essentially getting high on emotion as a form of worship instead of being taught that obedience is the highest worship.

I am happy to say we are now in a church that is faithful to the Word of God, expository teaching, more in a reformed Baptist bent, and focusing on sheperding the flock and equipping us in hermaneutics, and helping us to better study God's Word on our own.

Thank you for your faithful teaching!

Beth Leupp Power
