How fragile is your contentment? How much of your life—or how little—would have to change for you to plunge into frustrated, joyless discontent?
Sadly, for many of us it wouldn’t take much. Too often in this world our contentment is based on things going according to our plans and working out for our purposes.
But Christians can and should have a different perspective—rather than being content in the success of our plans, we need to find contentment in God’s sovereign, providential control. We need to remember that even when things don’t go our way, God is still on His throne, orchestrating events for His glory and our good.
